Expert: Russia keeps leading IT power status with own products

MOSCOW, Apr 7 (PRIME) -- Russia stays one of the leading IT powers in creation of own technologies, autonomous non-profit organization Digital Economy General Director Sergei Plugotarenko said on Friday.

“There is a feeling that we follow an interesting track that Russia has a huge potential and it is already being implemented in creation of own technologies, services, solutions, and software classes,” Plugotarenko said.

Problems exist in some directions, which is mainly hardware, and “there are problems with powerful modern technologies as artificial intelligence …We thought we would be moving fast along this track, but it turns out that not everything is that easy,” he said.
